Leaving out the religious bs, it’s just like any other venue with someone else’s rules you have to follow. Talk to the person in charge that makes the rules of the building, try to negotiate with them and make them understand why you need more flexibility. If they don’t want to hear it, you simply tell the couple that you have to follow the rules that the person in charge puts forth. If they don’t like it, they can make the decision to change venues. Don’t just bust in and do your own thing because regardless of what kind of building it is (church, hall, somebody’s house) you have to follow their rules and respect their wishes if you want yourself and the wedding videography business in general to be taken seriously.
When I got married, I made sure to choose a venue that would not impose restrictions upon photography and videography coverage. That’s on the couple, not you. You can tell them what’s up, but if they don’t budge and those in charge don’t budge…you just make the best of it.

It tells you everything you might ever need to know about common formats, including the estimation of file size in GB/hr. This chart is helpful for understanding different formats.
For a DVD, you need to open up Compressor and use one of the DVD formats to make an mpeg-2. That’s your only choice for a DVD.

Works for me. I don’t think you should have the green circle with the plus sign on it if you are actually dropping it onto the droplet. It goes away when I hover on the droplet.
Are you positive you’re dropping it on the droplet?

You can also scrub the audio with command+option+drag time indicator (audio and video at the same time with command + drag time indicator). Sometimes that might serve your previewing purposes.

After Effects doesn’t work like Flash at all, so there is no “adding a frame” like Flash. Are you saying basically the logo that pops up is coming up too early? What you’ll want to do in that AE project is open it up and double click on the [your sub-text] pre-composition. Then Find the logo.png layer and drag it backwards a bit until it appears after the “from everyone at” layer. You can also keyframe the opacity so it fades in rather than popping up.
I would check out some basic tutorials on After Effects and familiarize yourself if you need to get into projects in the future. After Effects, like Flash, is not all that intuitive when you open it up and look at it. Unfortunately you can’t wing it too easily 🙂

How are you playing it? Are you hitting the space bar, or are you RAM previewing? Audio will only playback during RAM preview.

Is it out of the question to open the project that needs it up, delete the effect, and re-add it back in and adjust the parameters to what they’re supposed to be? Maybe some links were broken and the effect doesn’t realize the plugin is re-installed properly and you need to tell it.
