The Studio version looks promising. I’ll have to keep an eye on that version when it becomes available.

That’s true. You would have at least two firewire video streams coming in and one going out. When you add in transitions or any graphics, all in real time, you are going to need some power.

Oh, one more thing. When I select show matte in the composite choker effects controls. The screen comes up all white (there is no cutout where the key should be).

I thought the Cineform codec should take care of the issues that are present in native HDV files. For reference, I was able to use the Cineform files in After Effects 6.5 before I upgraded to CS3. It imports into After Effects CS3 fine and you can play it back by double clicking it in the project window to open the file in the video viewer, but when you put it in a composition, it comes up green.
