Good idea – I’ll try and post some images in a bit.

My editing timebase is 23.98, and I captured using the pulldown removal – no additional rendering needed when I lay it down on the timeline, and there’s no STUTTER, but it LOOKS different than the rest of the film, despite (supposedly) being the exact same settings on the exact same camera.

I had always thought (exactly as you stated) that DV either works or it doesn’t. …but looking at this footage, there’s more overall noise, and color saturation isn’t as rich. (hence the need to find some excellent plugins to help with this) I donno, every logical bone in my body screams to me that it couldn’t possibly be the tape, but there is a part of me that remains wary.
