Ah continuous rasterization…that is exactly what went wrong. Can’t believe I missed that. It’s been driving me crazy! Thanks a million guys.

The text still looks (ever so) slightly jagged so I’ve put a Gaussian Blur effect on an adjustment layer with the blurriness set to 0.5.

Here is a link to the AE file with just the text animation. https://f1.creativecow.net/1752/jagged-text-composition‘>1752_jaggedtextsequence.aep.zip

    Hi Todd,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this problem is occurring in the final output as well as in the composition. Here is a rendered Targa from the sequence for your reference:
    https://f1.creativecow.net/1750/1750‘>1750_comp1000578.tga.zip

It is a 1920 x 1080 square pixel composition at 24fps so I am not using pixel aspect ratio correction and I have been previewing at 100%.

The post house who are finishing the film have said that the jagged edges are quite severe when they project it in their screening room…

Any other thoughts or even workarounds?? I’m quite up against it and I really don’t know how to remedy this.

    Thanks again.
