Please i do not understand.If i cannot paste a picture and work with it except in the after effects,then how do i start the animation of the hard disk.

The answers i have gotten so far are not for a person like that is just learning animation for the first time.Just like i was told to animate the rotation of the hard disk,but i have not even drawn the hard disk yet.Do i really need to animate the hard disk from the scratch?Is there no way i can just paste its picture and continue the animation from there?If i need to animate the hard disk from the beginning please how do i start?

The thin is,am to do a short animated video tutorial on the topic: disk space management system with application in nanotechnology.
The first part of the tutorial is to start with a little introduction on what a hard disk is.Dts wer d animation of the hard disk comes in.First of all,d hard disk is to be shown,then it will be shown as an open hard disk showing its parts.The parts do not need to be labeled.The animated hard disk will b spinning.For nw,dts jst d first part of the tutorial.I nid 2 do it first b4 goin on wit d rest.I rili nid help.
