I’m using the paid for, out of the box version.
It just means I need to finish this other project in AE7 so not the end of the world I guess.
    Thanks.

    Thanks.
Yes, I understand what you are saying.
The problem is that AE CS3 is interpreting the HDV footage differently from how AE7 does.
(So if CS3 is doing the right thing, then AE 7 was possibly doing the wrong thing?)

Basically, in AE7 when I drag a 1.33PAR HDV clip into a PAR 1.33 comp, the clip is the correct 16:9 AR.
Then, pening the same project in CS3 I find the HDV clip has changed to a 3:4 AR although it still has a PAR of 1.33, as does the comp.
I have to change the PAR of the comp to square pixels for it to look 16:9.
But this in turn pushes all my jpgs out to the edges and destroys my design. in some comps I’ve used only Jpgs. These are fine.

As I mentioned, the project window in AE7 says the HDV footage is 1920×1080 (1.33). But in CS3 the identical project says it’s 1440×1080 (1.33). there in lies the problem.
