Sorry, first, yea it is 1 Gb. My mom bought this computer never really looking at the ram, she didn’t even know. She has looked for 4 Gb RAM to buy but that will take awhile as she has others things that come first.
Anyhow… about the info you asked me… if you mean for Vegas 11, the build should be 700. Yes it is 32 bit Vegas 11.
The effect that shows problem in the rendering is Cookie cutter and the Defocus effect. However, the Defocus may be the only problem. As I think I stated, if the rendered video chooses to render without the defocus effect then it’ll usually go through fine. If the defocus effect appears in the render, the cookie cutter will usually flicker. And in the video, at most, usually 3 effects will be used in any clip max (maybe 4,which are usually: black and white, defocus,HSl adjust, cookie cutter, motion blue, or black and white monotone.)
In the preview, cookie cutter doesn’t show one problem, not ever. Though, say I started Vegas and tried to render and cancelled the render, I noticed that the defocus effect won’t show up in places where I put them. Vegas only tries to render with defocus when I click on the effect first in the video fx tab then render. As I noticed, when I do that, it takes awhile before the effect choices will show up, like it’s trying to make the effect work. With any other effect, including cookir cutter, the effects choices show up within the second pressed. If anything, way less longer then defocus.
I always use MP4, though I heard WMV was better. I render to WMV but I’m changing that because apparently other formats are better for YouTube. I also render in 720P with Best(Full) quality. I think I use some aspect ratio close to 6:18. It is one of the given choices and it is a rectangular screen. I edit with Preview(Auto) but move to Best(Auto) to see how something looks.
I don’t know how to find setting RAM build, so I need you help there
Here, if this is any good to you, look at this older version of the video that I’m doing so you can see the effects and maybe understand. At the start of the video would be an example where the flickering begins.
