I’m honestly dazzled by how you’re able to pull that look off. Did you use a LUT prior to CMY separation or is this just basic corrected footage? Is it even achievable with a LUT?

Thanks. I was looking into Color Finesse, but I was put off by the price tag. Your plugins wouldn’t hurt my wallet one bit!

Now the trick is to find a working Newvicon recorder.

To tell you the truth, I plan on funneling the footage I made into a Newvicon-type video recorder and then feed it back to digital. And maybe I’ll add a 3/2 pull down during the final export in AE. I found out that Newviconizing my footage with the pulldown added gives it a distinct, velvety look that I vividly remember from watching all those monster movies on VHS, something I don’t think an AE plugin can effectively recreate.

That’s a perfectly good plan, but all of it makes it sound like I want to zoom into the letter while it’s a solid color and then fade into the footage. The plan is to go solid once it moves in from the side, drop the solid color while the main title appears in full and then zoom in. Nevertheless, your plan is still something to consider.
Also, I’d like to ask, what does the tint effect do exactly? Does it do a seamless shift from the solid color to the main footage. In that case, I’ll use that effect, too!

Does the Match Grain Effect work on other colors outside of white (primary, secondary and tertiary)? Also, can this apply to 2D animated effects, as well?

Really? I honestly thought it looked white.
Anyway, how would I go about de-sharpening the credit? (Mind you, I’m a novice to the program)
