I tried what you said, but wasn’t able to get it to work exactly. Instead I combined the text and the noise through rendering, and then used Pan/Crop to get the desired effect. Here’s the output:

Getting closer. But I wasn’t able to zoom in all the way like he does, after a certain point the Pan/Crop preview window just shows a white screen when I zoom in too much. And also it’d be great if you could upload a .veg, I’d really like to see how you accomplish this effect with the parenting and all.

Thanks a lot. But one thing, I’m using the Masking tool and I’m getting the effect that I want in a sense. But this is what my video comes out to be:

Instead of the text being revealed by a white screen to reveal the text, it’s the noise texture that I use to generate the text image that moves away kinda.

Also you might notice those black bars on the side. Those appeared when I rendered this, but it doesn’t happen when I attempt to render any of my FRAPs footage that I have at 1440×900. In my rendering options it renders to 720×480, which is what this Media is set at in the Generated Media Window. Any ideas on how to fix those black bars?

Actually I was able to fix it with the Rendering options. I’m not sure how but I just follow some instructions from a World of Warcraft site, go figure!
