Ok for converting the 24p, but again, some footage with film look (24p) and some tv look (60i) in the same show is not what I want. But maybe what I want is too much ! Thanks again guys !!

In fact, John, my problem is not the panning in the 24p footage but in the 29.97 dropped in the 24p timeline. I will try some filter and see.

Thanks Alan ! But my issue is with the look…I don’t want a portion of my show in 24p and the other in 30p… I know I should have shoot in just one format but there was different sources and some mistakes were made while I was not on the set…

Final Cut Pro 7 on a Mac Pro 2xQuad 2.26 16Gb RAM is my system.

Mainly, my shots are converted to ProRes 422 HQ, but the XDCAM files. So my timeline is ProRes HQ at 24fps. The broadcaster told me that some shots were jerky so I assume that it’s the 29.97 shots on the 24p timeline. Since I don’t have an external monitor, I’m kind of not sure what the final master will show well or not.

I just want to deliver a constant look so editing in 29.97 is not really an option because I would have interviews and visuals in 24p AND in 29.97…not great. So is there a way to make the 30p shots more smoother ?
