Did you or One Stop Systems ever figure out the problem? I’ve heard of both, audio and video problems using the 5116. As well as the latest drivers, make sure the RC5452-016 card inside your MV5116 is flashed to the latest firware! That seemed to solve the problem with a few people I worked with.

Usually in the RAIDcore’s RAIDconsole it has an option for firmware update, but not with a Mac. Try contacting the RAIDcore guys over at Dot Hill to see how you can flash the card. I used a PC to flash the RAID card with a bootable floppy disk. Once the Drivers and Firware are at the same level, the corruption on playback goes away.
