Should have mentioned that I was using a Windows. I have been using DNXHD but I was wondering was it necessary. Any suggestions on Converting software? I have been using EaseFab Video Converter but seems like the process is a little slow to me.

click on the expand button (the one that looks like 4 arrows, to the right of the Timecode) and OpenFX plugins will appear.

I didn’t see this but maybe because I am using DR 15 beta and I have a large display. Anyway looks like it is working I had to wait the OpenFX began to show up. The NewBlue FX started to show up. I am still new to this. On the subject of OpenFX if I purchase for example Borris Continuum will DR see it on is a special way to install OpenFX?

Oh, I have one more question, it is on the best codec to use. With the free version was converting my Sony AVCHD mts2 files to DNxHD files. Is this a good work flow?

Update: DR is crashing while editing now. This is a good size project. A six-day vacation project and it crashed. I did a three project which was much shorter no issue

Forgot to ask my other questions.
What is the best hard drive setup for DR?
Are there any special settings for Dual monitors?
Mix formats on the timeline any issues? Or is best to transcode and if so to what DNXHD or other?
Importing stills what are the best setting? I coming from Premiere. Import still to match your video format.
