    That worked! Thanks,

It does it to anything I put in the comp. I just had a small JPEG logo with nothing on it and it wouldn’t even preview the resting frame.

Turns out they travel with their own video production crew for the main act, so we just paid them more to do all 5 acts. But thank you for the input. I’m sure this will come up again in a few months when were getting ready for the next one.

Nevermind, I figured it out by putting a compositing tag on it and unchecking the seen by camera.
    Thanks anyways!

Are you copying the tracking data to your clipboard? If so the default setting is to copy the using corner pin. you can change it to transform data and paste it to a null or whatever your putting in the shot

scratch that. you couldn’t pic whip it because your square comp would go into the negatives and scale up again. but you could dissolve it in at a point. and you would also want to do your scaling and positioning on a null and parent the square comp and your image to the null. We tried the draft quality with key frames and it looked smooth on our end. could you possibly have your keyframes set wrong?

I couldn’t figure a way to make it work without blurry edges, but you could fake it. you could create your own squares and try to match the colors as best as possible and set it in place at the highest scale and then pic wipe the scale on the square comp to the scale on the image itself. if that makes sense.

Give me a couple minutes here. I’m going to try something I just recently used on a project to see if it give the results your looking for.

Are you trying to make your image look pixellated? If so you could put the Mosaic effect on you image.

You need to motion track your footage. make a null and target it with the tracking data, then parent your text layer to the null and do your positioning. you can find a number of tutorials if you just search for motion tracking.

  • I’m not familiar with card dance but I did look into it a bit and it is essentially what I’m looking for the only thing I haven’t found yet is how to make the layers travel in one direction. I want them to come from behind the camera to the front. I will keep trying but this looks like it could be the answer. I did a comp where I set all the key frames and it looks exactly how I want it to but its not easily changeable for a customer. Thanks everyone!!!!
