    Hmmmm……

I’m currently using a Hanns G 28″ LCD flat screen display that I love.

In the past, I have used the older Apple CRT displays that worked well but are real estate hogs on any desktop.

I have considered purchasing a larger Apple display, but always stop when I consider their cost, which I consider outrageous as a hobbyist. Others have called it the “Apple Tax”.

I’m glad the 27 has answered your needs. Apple’s turnabout with FCP, and significant lack of support for those of us who purchased Mac Pro’s, combined with the Apple tax has given me pause to invest more money unless & until Apple changes it’s approach to financially raping their loyal customers. I know …. don’t hold my breath.

I’m beginning to think the SSD concept may be more appealing than spending $450 for an outdated video card (5870) that will become obsolete in the not too distant future. The OWC PCIe bootable blade SSD should come down in price since it is both PC & Mac compatible.

    Chris,

Thanks for the reply. That clinches it for me. I was sold when Mark answered affirmatively, but it’s great to have the shared recommendation from you too.

    Mark,

Thanks for such a quick reply! It’s problematic making a good decision when I don’t know all the information. I’m sure glad I asked.

BTW I just purchased your Motion 4 book from Peachpit last week and am going through the lessons now. I like the way you explain things, keep up the good work!
