Right on JR! That works. Now I just need to make a custom bit rate and it won’t allow it. Only 4 choices for bit rate in your settings suggestion.
Any ideas? I always like a bit rate of 1,500,000

Also, the choice of square “1” ASPECT FOR PIXEL is only in a few templates, not all

Wow…I’m really baffled here. JR, none of those Sony Memory Stick templates allow you to do a custom frame size.
Am I missing something?

jr…yeah, I’ve always used a 740 x 556 frame size. Works well for internet stream. I have tried all of the Sony AVC templates in Vegas 12 and none of them allow a custom frame size…only a few choices

So sorry…
But when I right click the file there on my desktop and choose “rename”, there is no extension showing…only the file name.
So I can’t delete “.mp4” and rename. It’s just not there

jr…how do I change that extension exactly. When I right click and try to “rename”, I end up with a file that is “.mov.mp4”
Like it has 2 extensions

Thanks so much guys. Yes…my QT is up to date.
What you suggested seems to work, but I cannot for the life of me find a way to use the Sony, or any other one, to make an MP4 file to a custom frame size. They are all templates…unless I am missing something. Also…the Sony encoders that you suggest seem to make a file that is squashed looking, making the actor look fatter. (if only you could do it the other direction LOL). This happens even though the original file, the project properties and the rendered result all say 720 x 480.
Any ideas?
