  • My plan B was to do the renders with the default ‘comp name, frame number’ and then use a batch re-naming tool to strip off the unwanted frame number bits. It’s an extra step but quicker than going through each individual render item and changing the drop down – hopefully.

  • I’m getting the exact same problem, and I have hundreds of comps to deal with. Did you find a solution to this?

Thanks for the suggestion. I gave this a try but the blocks still vibrate, though a lot less, back and forth rather than move consistently from point a to point b. Still stuck.

    Update!
Figured it out. Turns out the Random Effector was applied to the Fracture and the top level Clone, but not the bottom level Clone. When I copied it into it as well, everything worked fine, the columns broke up into individual elements using just the Random mode rather than noise.

Thanks for the suggestions, might have to give expressions a go it seems.

Does Twitch cover things like motion effects? I though it was more about ‘grunging’ up footage and adding distortion?

    Thanks anyway.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried Ease and Whizz and it works great for some things but what I need is a greater level of control than it currently provides. I’ve been hunting around for an alternative but with no success.

    Cheers.

I ended up just rebuilding the presentation and it works fine now. I couldn’t find anything different about that slide though it does make sense that that’s where the problem should lie. Sorted now anyways, thanks for the replies.

    Thanks for the reply.

The next and back buttons are graphics on screen, not the buttons on the remote control, I should have made that clearer. A good percentage of the users of this dvd will likely be viewing it on a laptop rather than tv and the client felt (rightly or wrongly) that it was important that there was a button or link on screen for them to highlight and click.

What I’m wondering is, is it possible that different playback devices would interpret the disc contents in differing manners that would lead to the hang up. Is it a case of one disc does all or can errors appear on only certain platforms? That is assuming of course that there is nothing wrong with the disc.
