Thanks Joseph! That actually DOES sound relatively easier than I expected. I’m pretty amateurish with After Effects so it’ll take me a bit of time to figure out ‘wipe transitions’, but you seem to know exactly what I’m talking about (the splashes against the side of the container that you mentioned are spot on), so hopefully I’ll figure it out quickly enough. Thanks for your help!
As an aside to this, I looked at Andrew Kramer’s ‘Riot Gear’ Video Copilot tutorials and they seem quite similar to what I’m looking for too, so I might try to explore every opportunity.
