    Thanks alot.
Yes, your right about the conflating. But thanks for helping me getting it straight.

I wanted to ask if it is possible to shoot in something like ProRess with the ML. Or simply, is there any alternative to the H264, besides raw, when shooting with the ML?

  • Thanks a lot.

I’ve mostly done video and always used to set sharpness to 0. Guess this explains why I was never satisfied with the sharpness in my stills. Kind of logic now that I think about it.

    Ok, thanks.

I mean to take this of topic, but how do you check that your native file has actually replaced your proxy? I mean, the project info or the event info does not say anything about this being a proxy file before I start the relink process. Of course there is a difference in the file size. But is this really the only way to distinguish between the two?

Thanks for all the great info in this thread.

In this tutorial, I see that they just right click on the event and chose ‘Transcode Media’. In this case they change it into proxy but can’t you just choose’ optimized media’ instead and get the same result?

    Hi Shane.
Totally forgot. But even though you answered me a long time ago, thanks. That was a great answer.
