You can use modulo (%) expression with the loop end time as the divisor.

Where do you want the checkboxes? 500 different checkboxes in Comp1???

  • You can use a layer emitter with an animated mask, then reverse the action once rendered.

  • The view is set to active camera. Is Camera 4 your active camera or do you have another camera higher up in the stack?

You’ll need a cylinder of some kind to wrap the label around in any case. The only built-in cylidrical shapes in AE that I know of are CC Cylinder and the raytraced 3D layer bend.

You could possibly do this with the 3D camera tracker if you first masked and precomposed it so that there is only the can to track. (It seems workable in theory, but I haven’t done anything like it as yet.) Then you should be able to get the raytracked bent 3D layer to stick to the movement of the can using a camera.

It would be better to have an actual 3D model or object there so C4D or Element are the likely candidates for this.

And you’ll need to roto the fingers obviously.

If your text layer is 3D, you either need to use 3D camera tracking (if the footage has a camera that actually moves around in 3D space) or you need to render a still image of the text with alpha channel and import it back into AE as a 2D image and then attach it to a null. Or you can precompose it together with the camera and the lights so it essentially becomes a 2D layer, and attach that precomp layer to your null.

I think you just need to take the “.value” out at the end of the second line.

Looks like the second text layer has been precomped, including a black background, and cut into three vertical slices, which have been animated separately on top of the first text. Then the whole thing has been composed on top of the footage in Add transfer mode.

  • Yes, that looks better. Stroke effect would be cleaner than an Outer Glow.

In my view the red reflection doesn’t have to be that strong, it detracts from the text somewhat. Could be about 50% of the current value. And the reflection could have a bluish tint to it, since the whole plane does.

Doesn’t really need a horizon. The horizon could be above the top edge of the image, so it wouldn’t be seen. Unless you want to add depth, it is not needed. (If you do want to try it, it’d probably work better switching the direction of the gradient so that it is blue in the foreground, white at the horizon.)

Is the text 2D as well?
