I figured it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Open using rosetta was checked in the “get info” of my Application.
after changing this, everything was better.

I just resolved the exact same issue for myself and feel awesome.
Go to the application and “Get Info” see if the “Open using Rosetta” box is checked.
If it is, Uncheck it.
This solved all my problems.
