  • that’s great but no one really answered my question. I want to know why the delays are there in the first place.

I will however mess with the tools you suggested.

  • So it is normal to have those audio delays? And once you separate the a/v you get rid of that delay? Is that why the tracks no longer match in length?

What is the intent of having the delay in the first place if I may ask?

No I definitely understand. I just wanted to make sure you are capturing your monitor at no more than say….1024×768. 800×600 everything looks bigger but you have no room to work with!

I just think that would work better than capturing say… 1280×1024.
Are you making a 4:3 dvd, or 16:9? If 16:9 I guess go with 1280×768.

I hope it turns out well whatever you do!

I have to do screen capture sometimes and use debut free software. Honestly DVD simple doesn’t have the resolution to give you what you want. All you can do is lower the resolution of your monitor to 800×600 so you actually read the text when you capture it. Otherwise just go for a data CD/DVD and export a video file with a 1:1 pixel ratio of the original capture.

I know what you need, but to many limitations doing it that way.
