I’ve got frame info as part of the filename: project_shot_0000023.dpx (for example, in case of a dpx file, which is the target of this test).
the thing is that the dpx files come from compositing which does not write timecode into the dpx header. so we have to calculate the timecode from the frame numbers. e.g. with a frame rate of 25 the frame number 30 would be tc 00:00:01:05.

I was wondering if there’s any way to achieve that.

Thanks for your response! I was thinking about FCP because it appears to be the only software that lefts its “phantom” burnt on the display.

Anyway, I was not saying that this is a FCP issue, but a Snow Leopard OS “problem” that is making my computer going heater and thus, suddenly provoke the image persistence. In that case, I could recover the Leopard OS installation…

Since I post the thread, I managed to make the persistence going away… Of course, after use, it omes again… will it become worst?
