Thank you for such an easy way to activate these codecs (but not very understanding as an option).
I would like to say that AE makes a folder called “…_AME” with a copy of your project inside. So if your compression fails and you make any change in your composition you have to resend the comp to AME in order to make this change visible. Another thing to consider is always using solids or some kind of image as your background (not the background composition) because AME probably would make your background black.

I’ve reading some workaround about how to do it but very, very strange. I’ve got several settings for re-encoding with very good results but, you know if you can avoid that process, much better. Sometimes is more what you think that what you (or your client) can see.

Expression encoder is a very good tool but think of it if your are planning to do a Silverlight application (it’s great the access chapters). Try also Windows Media Encoder, is free for PC and it has a lot of features and settings. And the tricky point: try with Windows Movie Maker if you plan to do a ultra fast encoding: Drag-apply one setting and you’ll have x1,5 real time encoding. If not these are the best softwares:

Episode Pro and Sorenson Squeeze for Mac.
Procoder-Sorenson Squeeze for PC.

Radius!!! What a time! My first digital video clip was in 1993 and compressed to a 160×120 cinepack clip in a Yamaha CD-ROM burner (4000 $ in that time).

Very good job again. I ordered a demo of Carbon Coder and I made several “home tests” with Procoder. BTW the same developers??. I think Carbon Coder is faster. But, believe or not sometimes when I have to make a copy for a client (1 clip-office review) I use Windows Movie Maker to encode with the setting 1,5Mbit LAN and the results are very very good and very very fast, obviously, not for batching.
Sorenson Squeeze is not very good for Wmv, old Cleaner 5 although slower is still better in some aspects. Still is in my computer…
