If you have a clean sample of the noise, you can use it as the “noise print” in Audition, and then remove that from the clip. You’ll need to experiment with the level of removal, since some of the noise might be in the same part of the audio spectrum as the voice, but it should help:

It’s called Rotoscoping, and there are a few ways to achieve the effect. By hand drawing a mask, then animating it to follow, by chroma-keying (the footage is already shot, so forget that), or by using the Roto Brush, in my estimation, the easiest way to go:

Don’t just jump in and try to use it – it’s non-intuitive, but with a tutorial or two, you’ll have the technique.

Every station should have a spec sheet with the technical specifications for broadcast spots or programming. Generally you can get a link to them either by looking on their website (some of them hide it well), or calling their Production Manager or an Account Rep. Here’s an example of one from the Discovery Channel:

I don’t suggest you use these specs – they vary from station to station.

This is a tricky decision, since I’m not sure what the current CS6 choices are as far as individual packages, or collections. I own and use the CS6 Master Collection, so I have everything that Adobe makes. In the past, I have owned the CS4 Production Premium collection, which was geared toward media production, and I’m not sure whether it’s offered anymore (Todd Kopriva can no doubt weigh in and tell you your options there, or give you a link).
I have not jumped in to the Creative Cloud subscription model, because I currently can do the work I need to do with CS6, and I want to see how the subscription model shakes out. There may be advantages or disadvantages to that model, but only you (or your employer) can decide that. The subscription will give you everything (the Master Collection), but you won’t need a lot of it, and those who don’t like the subscription model feel locked in forever, because you have to be subscribed to open the project files. That’s a business choice, and I don’t recommend one or the other, but you can read about it here:

It might take a couple of tries for you to get the best Wacom driver for your operating system. It took me about three tries on my workstation, running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit – it may have been problems with the mouse drivers conflicting with the Wacom driver, but the tablet would work on one bootup, then not work on the next. I finally got a driver version that worked, and it’s rock solid now.

Red Giant PlaneSpace is one way to do it. There are also some scripts which will do a spherical array. Add a lens flare and a few of those radiating lines (which might be part of the flare), and you’re done.

That’s fine with me, David – it took me quite a while to track it down, but it was worth the time. Now I can easily find a project which I might have created months, or years, before in no time. I just wish that ability had been mentioned in the documentation – a lot more people would be using Bridge for their media management.
