I just did a search on spotify, just to see how some of my favorite, somewhat arcane, music favorites showed up. I was able to find (not in any order of favorites), The Bonzo Dog Band, Lord Buckley, Bill Evans, Charles Lloyd, The Nazz, Love (Arthur Lee), The Pretty Things, Procul Harum (Salty Dog), and several others which I wouldn’t have imagined to still exist, other than on vinyl or CD, both of which I have. It looks pretty good out there…but I still own three turntables just in case.

You can get started with the free version, and see whether it fits your work style, then buy the full version for $49.99, or subscribe for $24.99 a year. I bought the full version. It allows me to track my time (I don’t bill my clients from within the program, but you can), and I can create categories whithin my projects, so I can see exactly the amount of time which goes into pre-pro, production, post, etc.. It can be a real eye opener! ETT is a small company, so you can actually contact the programmer if you have questions or problems.

I think it depends on whether Altiverb is a VST plugin or not. I have no experience with it, but if it is a VST (Virtual Studio Technology), then you should be able to drop it in the proper folder:

Maybe outputting a dynamic range made for stills would get you out of the limited broadcast range.

I would set up the sequence as HD, and then let the SD versions float within the HD frame, or sit on a graphic background. While you can crop the SD stuff to fit your HD frame, there will be some loss of detail due to sizing up the pixels.

Some plugins must be installed, rather than simply copying the .aex file to the Plugins folder. Check with the manufacturers of your plugins to find out the proper procedure.

You can generally do that in the mouse software in your Control Panel (I’m on Windows). Specify the software package and then map the mouse wheel as needed.

You might also want to take a look at Secondary Color Correction:

Color Finesse comes with AE, and has some pretty powerful secondary capabilities. You can change the color of a person’s shirt using it properly. The trick is going to be lighting and keeping the individuals somewhat separate, and (I would think) making sure they’re wearing solid colors, and not prints.
