I have an AMD GPU, so CUDA isn’t an option. Thanks for your help, though. I can accept the 4x render time, I just wanted to be sure I wasn’t doing something horribly wrong and making things harder than necessary. I just recently built this machine and I guess I thought it would render a little quicker. It’s still a vast improvement over my old system, so I certainly can’t complain. Thanks so much again for the help!

Well, I’ve rendered two videos now on Good, with no difference whatsoever in total render time. Perhaps there’s an option somewhere that’s forcing it to resize unnecessarily? I’ve tried to explore all the options I could find, but some of these menus are much more complex than I’m used to, so I could have easily missed it, or seen it and not recognized it as such.

I actually did capture in 1280×720 though (I used a program called Sizer to resize my game window), so that shouldn’t be a problem. But thanks for the tip about changing the Render Quality. If the only difference between Good and Best would be from resizing (which shouldn’t be necessary), then Good should be acceptable. I’ll be rendering another video tomorrow, so I’ll give an update when it’s done.

I’m sorry, I really wasn’t very specific. I want the latter; for them to be sitting, then standing, then jump back to what they’re sitting, so it’s a sudden thing. This whole project is actually a music video for a song parody, of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face”, and this particular scene is during the opening, during one of the “muh-muh-muh-maaw” sequences. I want to synch it up so that at the beginning of each of the first three “muh”s they’re standing, and at the end of the final “maaw” they’re standing, and then to freeze it there while the middle guy keeps singing. I will go right now and check out that link. Thanks so much!
