First off, I already tried all the regular stuff, anti-virus, etc.
After a ton of sleuthing I figured it out. Perhaps this will help someone else.
You need to enable “Super Administrator” mode. Essentially, enabling the classic “Administrator” account on Windows 10.
You need to manually do this by running CMD.EXE as Administrator, and then typing: net user administrator /active:yes
Log off of whatever account you’re using, then login to the admin account, then install.
For some reason even though all the accounts on my computer are already “Admin” and even though I was running the installer with “Run as admin” privileges, I still needed to do this in order for it to work.
Thank you for letting me post this inquiry here! Perhaps I’ll visit again when I’m leaning on the more creative side of things and not just technical.
