    Hi ctheslender,

You probably are getting all of the objects, but they come in on the same Z axis. You need to move some of the objects in front of – or behind the others and/or adjust the depth of each object. Do this in the set-up window before you start to animate sets in the scene preview window.

    Does this help?

    Okay…

I don’t have the manual in front of me, but if you were using the sphere as a guide and now want it to disappear, you can simply select the sphere and uncheck the visibility box for it.

I’ll see if I can dig up the manual and check you the page numbers yo mentioned.

It should be interesting – thanks for doing that.

BTW, AppleInsider reports After Effects 8 will be released in June as a Universal app and that Adobe plans to release a public beta of the CS3 Suite later this month to licensed users of CS2.

We’ll see if that’s true. If so, 2007 will be a very good year!

    Hello mellogfx,

Assuming you’ve converted your text to outlines in Illustrator, be sure letters with holes are compound paths. Normally they are, but that may have gotten messed up somehow in your editing process.

Select the inner and outer shape and do a make compound path. That should do it.

    Hi Jacob,

You’re rikght – that’s very weird. Did this project start out in the earlier version? If so, does the problem persist with a new project created in 4.0.9?

I haven’t encountered that. Maybe Matt will chime in.

    Jacob,

The “rough stars” you’re seeing are probably the result of viewing your art in draft mode. If you still have spikes in best quality mode, adjust the spikebuster slider to get rid of them.

    Glad yhou’re making progress.

From what I gather, you want the “circle on a 2D image” background image to be located inside the rotating text. In this case the best way to do it is to create a primative plane, position it where you want it in 3D space and apply the image to it. If the image has a proper alpha channel, you will see only the image surrounded by the rotating text. The edges of the plane go away.

    Is that what you want?

Are you certain you have an object selected when you look at the stats box? It may very well be empty if no object is selected.

    Hey Jim,

Read what Zax just posted about ProAnimator universal. Perhaps getting the latest update will solve the issue.
