  • so I just checked the ‘file properties’ and confirmed with Gspot that the fps for this file is actually 30.00 and not 29.97……crap….now what?

  • thx Jeff…yes, 30fps (I’ll have to double check on the “29.97”, but I’m willing to bet its right).

I’ll triple check I have the project dimensions (720×480) correct as well, but i don’t think that’s it.

It could be the codec…when I first tried playing these files on my laptop I couldn’t get them to play at all on MS Media player or anything (just the sound came out)…so that’s a good bet.

    will report back tonight. thx.

  • just raw .avi files. nothing in HD.

the video source is a VIO POV 1.5 (helemet cam)…writes directly to a memory card and I upload that to my hard drive.

  • I just posted a similar thread….although, my video will play a few frames…literally maybe 5-6 frames over the entire clip, while the audio plays totally fine. Doesn’t matter if the clip is 2 minutes or 10 minutes.

I’m importing .mp4 files, NOT HD, just regular 720×480 raw files from my hard drive which came from an SD card. (video source is a VIO POV 1.5 helmet cam).

I’d be interested if you figure anything out. I found this post:

but his solution didn’t help me.
