Ah, color separations! Joy! Here’s what’s happening: the printers yellow is not perfectly aligned with the rest of the colors. What you are seeing is the paper showing where one set of colors failed to print. This is easier to see in screen printing where you print whole colors versus process colors which is what your printer is printing.
How to fix it. Hopefully. Add a 1/4 pt stroke to the letters and set the stroke to overprint. Try a test print. If the line is still there, increase the stroke by another 1/4 stroke. Rinse. Repeat up to 1point. If its not going away at all, try rasterizing or convert to a PDF and try printing again. You can also add a 1/4 pt stroke to the letters, convert the path to a shape, ungroup from the letters, make it the same color as the background, and send it back one behind the type and set the letters to overprint. May need to set the stroke to overprint, too.

Egads, sounds like a LOT of work, but if it works, I can’t argue. 😉
I didn’t even think to ask, but have you tried calibrating the external monitor? Also, can you use Apple’s Color? Color can be a royal pain for fine tuning without a control deck, but I’ve done some good stuff with it. Also, be careful with Photoshop – despite their claims, Photoshop doesn’t have the best color tools – see if you can get the color profile your footage’s source company uses OR get a color profile from the camera manufacturer. Ask them to use a flat shooting profile before delivering footage or single sequential frames. The Cinestyle color profile, for example, can add a couple stops to a “normal” shooting profile. The footage lacks contrast and saturation, but its designed so you can bring these back in post to make color matching easier. Also, if they shoot a color chart made for their camera(s), you can fine tune colors like you wouldn’t believe.

It looks like the “Viper PST” text is 2D. I’ll guess its on its own layer. So, transform the text layer with Command-T (CTRL-T), when you see the box around the type, right-click (CTRL-click) and pick “Warp.” drag around to get the right distortion – drag the handles up from the top and bottom while holding shift to constrain direction of distortion.

I’m a huge fan of my Case Logic backpack and other bags. I have their SLR camera backpack (I got mine for about $100 and I LOVE it) and a couple camera bags and slings for various purposes (one I got at a thrift store of all places for $3, brand new!). Now, that backpack doesn’t have room for the tripod/monopod so I bungee/rope them either over the top or along the bottom (it slides too much to secure to the sides). I’m guessing you’re doing some hiking so remember to leave room for food and water! 🙂

Doh! No. You can in Illustrator, but in PS, you’re stuck with the default, kinda contrasting path line color. You can try this: add a Levels Adjustment Layer, drag the slider to the left. When you’re done, delete the layer. Hope that helps!

I see you’re running a Mac so I’ll see if I can tackle this:
1) re-calibrate your monitor in the OSX Display Preferences – I re-do this every month or so and more often during heavy use. Have a color profile for lights on/off, daylight, cloudy day, etc. The differences are subtle, but its worth it. Remember: Macs use Gamma 1.8 and PCs use 2.2.
2) Launch Photoshop and go to Edit >> Color Settings. Under Color Management Policies, make sure “Preserve Embedded Profiles” is selected and under Working Spaces/RGB, to match FCP7, pick the one for your computer monitor you just calibrated. Incidentally, you can choose a wide-gamut RGB, like Adobe 1998, here, too, but I think you’d be better off with your monitor’s profile for more precise matching.
3) in FCP, go to your Sequence Settings (Command-Zero) and choose to render in YUV.
4) do a quick test of your footage: a small test render of a short bit of footage in FCP and view it in Quicktime side by side with the original footage. FCP is notorious for having wonky brightness for H.264 footage (ie: DSLRs and consumer camcorders using AVCHD). It has something to do with the file format trying to auto-correct to the correct gamut and failing. I could be way off on the reasons and I’m open to correction on that.Finally, I’m not exactly sure how PS handles video footage. I’m assuming it treats it like a series of raster images like JPEGs and uses the current RGB color space. If none of the above works, try converting to a MotionJPEG or PhotoJPEG (A, I think) at no more than 90% (anything higher than 90% overtaxes the codec and you get massive file sizes – I use 85% when submitting stock footage).
If none of this works, please provide specifics: footage format, what it’s shot on, any conversions via Compressor, AE, or MPEG Streamclip, etc. These are what I would do and hopefully someone else has more info.

There are a couple ways to do this, but I’ll tell you what I would do. First off, I’d start over. Keep the can with the stripe and the “Share a Coke…” text, but lose the water drops and the “Mate” type. Now, to make the red for the can, I would make a new custom gradient (just sample the horizontal lines and use at least 5×5 for a sample size) OR use the stamp tool to wipe them out – be gentle and use Shift keep it horizontal. I would import the can into Illustrator to redraw the wave graphic and maybe reset the “Share a Coke…” type (you can do that in PS, too). Once you have the new can with a wave and the “share a…” type, set your own type.
For water drops, the easiest way is to use Alien Skin’s Eye Candy (yeah, I totally cheat, but it looks good). Beyond that, you can make the drops one at a time with small, grey dots, using the filters panel to make the single dots – vary the dot size and dot fill opacity to get the right look. Working on mine, will show in a short bit.
