I’m currently doing some tests using Hamburg’s MXF ImEx and DPP metadata app (free) to create the files, if it works, and I think it should, it’ll save a 1000 euro over the full suite..

So I guess I’m correct in my assumption that Hamburg Pro Media (1790 euro…) is the only way to go for FCP X??
Are there any other editing applications that can export to AS-11 standards? (might be cheaper to buy another editing package)…

Re. flash frame bug… just did a test render with Magic Bullet Looks… got an upside down green tinted frame after about 5 secs. 🙁 …maybe Magic Bullet needs an update?

I’m not sure I follow your procedure for dupe detection??? Is it a way of revealing all used clips in the event? How do I colour code??

When we were using SCSI Seagate Barracudas we used to cost it at about £1000 per gig….those were the days!!!

Well to answer my own question.. it seems PDF isn’t supported.. converted them all to JPEGs in preview and seems good now 🙂

Maybe I’m using the wrong terminology, basically it’s digibeta 16:9 anamorphic footage but it’s showing as 4:3 in my HD sequence, in fcp 7 I would tick it’s flag to expand it but I don’t know if that’s possible in FCP X?? Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for that, I haven’t had a chance to try it but I’m not sure it’s what I want, basically I have some footage that I need to make staccato (like old movie footage….)..will this do the job?
