I have the same problem. I have a quad core but my video card is a nvidia geforce 8800 GTS 512. Premiere crashes with a blue screen of death and computer reboots. It never done that until I pluged a second monitor. I think that Premiere hates dual display (but can’t figure out why). Now my raid has degraded and it’s repairing, so I can’t try to use it with just one monitor. I’ll try to use only one display for premiere but let the other one active, and if it doesn’t owrk, I’ll remove the second display.
