How are you?

So I’ve got this project with this distracting black wire running along the floor. But when I use the Content-Aware Fill filter to a mask, instead of the pattern being replaced, I get this long fuzzy noodle across the floor. Am I missing something? Are my settings wrong? Please help. Thank you so much.
