Play with offsetting the video clips (yes, in layers) and opacity first. Then see if you like changing the transfer modes a bit for different looks in the ghosting. PP is very buggy, in my experience, with what OS and PP update you have. It&#8217;s infuriating how you have to seek the perfect combination. Could be the sequence is corrupt. Try it on an auto-save version.</p>

The screen, in these locations, will suddenly overexpose. Some are for a frame, some the duration of a title, some for just part of the duration running during an adjustment layer (as examples). Ideally you would have a drive array in RAID 5. That way if a drive fails, you put a new one in and it rebuilds everything. Otherwise, your backup system is an option, of course, which is similar to a RAID 0 array. Those are faster but riskier. RAID 5 is worth the speed loss in most cases. There is a lot to a RAID array and you want hardware&hellip;</p>

That&#8217;s spot on. The other way to do the same thing is to take the original file, create a seq from it (match settings) &#8212; that way you know you&#8217;ve matched all the variables. Then, stabilize the footage in that seq. Then take that seq and put it into your editing seq (which will nest it).</p>

Could also be they continue the trend of relying less and less on GPUs for the highest use features. That gets into engineering and is above my pay grade 🙂</p>
<p>Hope this works out for you! I&#8217;m ordering a new iMac this week, as well. We&#8217;ll have to trade notes.</p>

<p>Well, one other option is to do the iMac now and until MacPro processors change out. You can sell it then if you decide you want/need to upgrade and it&#8217;ll have much of its value still, assuming it&#8217;s only a couple years out. And you can get the iMac, test it before you sell your Pro tower. If you&hellip;</p>

I have a mid 2015 iMac now that is just starting to show overheating issues. But I replaced the fusion drive with an SSD and have not taken the annoying steps to try and upgrade the OS so it could be there are other issues at hand. It needs a clean wipe and I may do that next week and see if the fan stops running so&hellip;</p>

I&#8217;ve built many Mac systems and unless you are using a boat load of specific AE effects, the added prowess of a MacPro doesn&#8217;t usually add up. There are too many variables to make a blanket policy on this&#8230; but I&#8217;ve built them both ways and maybe 8&hellip;</p>
