its not drift im worried about. with dv it seems to often be running timecode so as soon as the thing starts actually recording during the dub, thats when it thinks its 00;00.
i just havent seen the telecine set-up and have no idea how the dv deck was slaved during the dub… the dv i’m getting for starters is just a client copy. but in your experience the dv that comes with a digibeta dub is frame for frame the same as the master?
add to that the fact that for our working/capture we will have to get a betaSP dub of the digibeta telecine master, is that the way they do it is when they make dubs, it is literally a TC slaved dub?
the digibeta and dv are already done, the BetaSP copy will be made so as to be able to use the deck i have access to at work. youre telling me that i can trust the timecode on the dv and just recapture via the 9-pin of the uncompressed capture card.
