John I got the EVGA GTX460 1GB card yesterday but had to wait until today to install it. I need two, 4-pin molex cable extensions for one of the 6-pin power connectors on the card. I installed the latest drivers from EVGA (270.61) and then tried your extruded text tutorial again. This time everything worked and rendering and response of the filter seems to have no noticeable delay. I think the filter/card combo is working very fast. Now I just hope the graphics card holds up for awhile. I can now start looking at more of your tutorials. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for the suggestion John. I checked on the 9800GT and it is hard to fine most are the 9800GT EE. I did some more looking and checked reviews and decided to try the EVGA Geforce GTX460 1 GB. It looks like it supports the CUDA. Should be here Tuesday so I will let you know how it turns out. If you hear a scream it means I am still having problems. Thanks again for your help.

Hi John, Well two days with HP and no luck. We tried all kinds of things and I made sure I had the latest framework 4 .net. Four different drivers with the same error so I went back to the ATI driver which installs fine but have the Vegas and Boris error. The V7750 was about a $700.00 MSRP card so this time I would like to go with a replacement and something less expensive. I would like to keep using dual monitors at 1920 x 1200, again I have Win 7 sp-1, 64-bit. Could you or anyone else on the forum recommend a card that would meet these requirements and that you know works with Vegas 10.0c and Boris BBC 7. Thanks for any help…

Still no luck. I downloaded the drivers from HP and during the install setup reported: Setup has detected an incomplete build. Setup will now exit. I rolled back the driver and tried again but same error. I also removed the download and tried downloading again but same error. I was going to try and remove the ATI Catalyst Install Manager and Control Console but was denied. Checking the Internet looks like a pain and regedit operations to get it taken off. I will try again over the next day or two and I do appreciate your help John. Sorry I missed that you authored the tutorial it is very nice just hope I can get it to work!

John, thanks for the fast response. I purchase the HP workstation assembled so I just opened it up and there are several stickers on the graphics card that all have ATI on them and the fan also has the ATI logo so I think this is an ATI card. I also should mention I have the latest updates to W7 Pro. By the way the tutorial is the one on YouTube for Vegas Pro 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfHXSPFBQ7s
Does anyone one if this tutorial works? Again the failure occurs when I click the Apply button.
