I am currently using a Sony HDCamSR deck with RS-422 machine control. The nice thing about working at a posthouse. I have to do a batch capture in oreder to change the footage to DVCProHD. The people who shot the footage let the audio guy tie in to the cameras time code and made a mess of all the tape. I was hoping it was a setting thing that I over looked.

Thanks you for all your help.

Thanks Guys all good stuff. I am a shooter and I understand about keeping clean time code. My question is why does FCP take so long to find the break and then start to encode again? When Avid finds a break it takes 1/3 the time to find and start again.

If only this project were that easy. I have 25 HDCam tapes I have to load. Each tape has 10 to 20 breaks each.
