I just purchased a Firestore ProHD DR-HD100 from a Goodwill auction. It was used with JVC camcorders, and is version 3.0.2.04021208 Years ago, I used a FireStore FS-4 with a Canon XL2 camcorder. Sold the Canon XL2, and forgot about the FireStore FS-4 until I saw the FireStore ProHD-HD100 on the Goodwill auction and bought it. Later realized that the FireStore FS-4 can also record in DVHD. The FireStore FS-4 is verson 2.0.0.04092006 I found you on Creative Cow. It seems you might be the only one around who has the upgrade to the v4.01 firmware. Can both of the FireStores be upgraded to the version 4 you have. If so, can you send it to me, and any instructions on how to install it? Right now, there is a person who has a FireStore DVC Pro HD on eBay. It was used with a Panasonic AG-HVX200He states it has the v4.01 firmware installed, and his Firestore can be used with other model camcorders. Can the firmware be installed from one Firestore to another one? I am planning on using the Firestore DTE recorders with Canon XLH1 and XLH1s camcorders.
