I should have been clearer. It’s not the hard drive. It was fun up until the computer stopped booting up.

Hmm. I looked at the Episode product pages at flip4mac. It’s annoying you have to pay extra–even with the Pro version to have Flash flv/swf encoding capability.
Makes me feel like my best bet–for now, is to go from Cleaner 6.1 up to 6.5 (for Flash) and keep doing my Windows Media 9 on my PC at work.

And from what I gather at Discreet/AutoDesk’s site and the specs, it still won’t allow encoding to WM9.
Although it looks like it covers everything else, which is a plus.

Yes. Like you, I’m very comfortable with Cleaner–and it takes a while to get used to Squeeze. I’m currently doing some QuickTimes and Flash .flvs for a client–and every time I go from Cleaner to Squeeze I get grouchy (because I’m spoiled)….

I think you could definitely improve on the file size by encoding your video as .flv in Sorenson Squeeze for Flash–rather than relying on MX 2004’s limited options. You’ll have more control over quality and data rate, etc in Squeeze. File size should also be smaller, but I can’t be definite, since most of my stuff is in 320×240….

I’ve got built in USB too (I need to check my actual model…it’s been a while). But perhaps I need to install a new larger hard drive. They ain’t too expensive…
