Very beautiful! I’d love to know what settings you used for the night shots (ISO, etc).

Thanks Marcel. I bought the Zoom H4n with the Readheaded Windscreen – the cute demo videos of the windscreen won me over. Pluraleyes looks great, btw. Can’t wait to try it out!

September 18, 2009 at 3:36 am in reply to: What are your thoughts on being a Preditor?

Preditor is what you call yourself when you’re an editor who makes lots of editorial decisions and occasionally bangs out a script. If you’re a producer who edits occasionally, you still call yourself a producer, because there’s little value in letting your clients know you do the technical work, too (they anticipate technical screwups).

Some producers that edit have developed lucrative business billing for editor, machine, and producer time – and doing everything themselves on their own equipment – OR – they take an entire project’s budget and ‘get er done’ all by themselves. There’s a market for people who can do both jobs well, but it should only be done at double day rate, minimum.

I upgraded on all 4 macs with no issues (other than Chax and some growl issues). Highpoint Rocketraid drivers were included in the SL install so I didn’t have to even worry with that. Kona 3 seems fine.

Bob, many of us that work from home don’t wear pants. Also, it’s been 13 hours, what’s AJA waiting on? If they don’t hurry, Apple will announce their NEW OS, codenamed SKAT.

Hmmm…interesting points. I honestly don’t know much about paypal – I just use it as an example.
Perhaps even a ‘gift’ of amazon credits or something like that would work. You could call them ‘cowflops’. When your pile of steaming cowflops gets big enough, you can go online and buy a big screen tv or something.

There are alot of hilarious posts Bob Z has made where I would have given at least a quarter for lightening up my mood a bit.

  • The way my clients tell me to look at it is, “if you don’t hear from me about it, it’s a good thing”. We’re all at the mercy of the people that give us money.

BZ– New shoes for her goes a long way !

Looking at her vast shoe collection, she clearly has the upper hand in negotiations. Imelda Marcos would be proud!

ps. Do you like how the ONE WORD they had to put in that form letter (Promo’s), was both capitalized unnecessarily and had a random apostrophe thrown in? I kinda wish they would strike. The signs they make would be priceless.

This is happening with me, too. Very frustrating! Did you figure it out?
