Sorry, you need to rotate the null, to rotate the coin. Change Z position of camera to make it look like it’s moving closer or farther away.

If you don’t have Zaxwerks you could create this effect with Shatter. And a front and back picture of a penny& texture for the side.

Create a composition, add solid, mask it to a cirle. Load in your front and back pictures of the penny. Size them so they are the exact same size as the masked cirle. Take this comp and duplicate twice. In each comp turn on 1 layer, ie..circle solid, front, back.

Create a new comp and all 3 comps & penny side texture. Create new camera, create null. Make null 3d and parent the camera to the null.

Create a solid and apply shatter. Under shape and pattern, choose “custom” For your custom layer choose the “Circle Solid” comp.

Twirl down the “Textures” and for front, side back, choose the appropriate graphics or comps.

Change camera setup to comp camera. Now just animate x & y & z of your null to flip the penny.

Corporate video is such a generic term that can be used to describe 100’s of different types of video. Training, marketing, company overviews…the list goes on and on.

I don’t know of any tutorials other then finding a different production companies(look on the web) and check out how they approach corporate stuff.

Off the top of my head, you can’t do that. You could do as I suggested earlier, create backgrounds for you menu in AE/premier whatever, that would approximate this though. Again you would have to create 6 or 7 menus depending on how exactly you set up the project.

Often whenever I’m doing something with thumbnails this is the way I go, as I like to edit my video that will appear in the thumbnails. Only creates 10 times as much work…

This can be accomplished but not using the regular encore setting/DVD settings. The video thumbnail is only going to access the video, not the audio.

To do what you want to accomplish you are going to need to create 6 menus and use the auto-activate fuction with the buttons. For each menu you will have to create an .avi of the audio up to the loop point matching the thumbnail video.

If you do a search, someone recently posted a link showing how to create menus like this, but it was done with pictures for highlights, but the concept is the same.

Another way would be to create full background movies with the thumbnail/audio and use the auto-activate fuction. If I were going to do what you propose I would probably go this direction, as to make sure my audio/video matched up perfectly.

My favorites are the saphire plugins, use those all the time to effect video within the system. Other two I use work with AfterEffects, Automatic Duck, which allows me to export timelines & video straight into AE. Also picked up elastic gasket, which allows me to take third party AE plugs and use them in the Avid.

    Do it in two layers.

Top layer, add a chroma key effect. Select the colour you want to be the colour seen. Choose that as your Chorma Key.

    Bottom Layer, make B&W.

Top Layer, invert the key. Adjust gain, secondary and softness to taste.

    That’s about it.

No, encore doesn’t set up these type of files.

You can create the files in another program and point encore to that folder so when you burn it, it will add that folder to the final DVD, but you need another program to do DVD-Rom stuff.

    Yes it can be done.

You can even use menus that access the DVD-Rom material. Sonic’s eDVD4 is a good little program for creating stuff like that. You can link to programs, spreadsheets, images, websites, email…

    Neat little program.
