When you say watch it in explorer, do you mean Windows explorer? If you’ve moved the footage to a p.c., you’re going to need to install a DVCPRO codec, which you can purchase online. Then export from FCP using Quicktime Conversion to an .avi using that codec.

If you don’t want the scanner darkly look or a canned effect look, you will have to paint frame by frame. If ub and the gang at disney could do it – if bakshi could do it, so can you!
All great art is time consuming so buck up and dive in. better yet bring in some artistic friends who don’t mind slaving over your vision for free.

good, cheap, and fast – pick any two.Or maybe Aaron Rabinowitz’s cartoon look technique is what you need. There’s a tutorial for it here on the Cow.

Why are you using 1.1? AE CS3 ships with Keylight 1.2.

It always amazes me when people take on complex projects with software they have zero experience with.
Someone here might be willing to take the time to write you a step by step guide, but to have done this project correctly you should have taken some steps that it’s too late for now.
There are tons of free tutorials for AE online, and a wealth of excellent AE books for sale. The manual is also a ripping read. Why not try acquiring some fundamental skills before diving into your next big job?Joey Foreman

Are you having this problem with other still images?
Look in preferences and see what the duration for still images is set to.
