Basically does the same thing. What I think is the issue is when I rotate the NULL to the “open door” position its changing all values (HPB) instead of changing just one value. So when I close the door and playback… each value is changing over time, which doesn’t seem right if I’m rotating on one axis.
Isn’t there a way to rotate the axis point and then zero it as if thats the (0,0,0) axis?

You could always export your movie as an image sequence (like Tiff) and split the individual frames up into folders and put each folder on a different disk. You could then copy those tiffs from all the DVDs into one folder later and create a movie from in in QTpro. If you do that, don’t forget to export an AIFF for the audio.

February 27, 2007 at 11:58 pm in reply to: Pre-comping Auto Orient 3D layers

“You can auto-orient this 3D precomp to the camera in the main comp, but it will affect all layers in the precomp, and they will orient as a 3D object would.”

It only lists “Along a Path” or “OFF” on the rasterized layer. The reason why I want to pre-comp is so I can timeremap the animation within these 3D layers. If I copy the camera info into the pre-comp but still select rasterize in the main comp, will it ignore the camera info in the pre-comp but keep the correct auto orient if I time remap the raster layer?

    I think it works!!!
    thanks!!

Its in the Comp that the pre-comp is in. I’d rather not put the camera in the pre-comp because I need to time remap the pre-comp and don’t want to time remap the camera.
