I am having the same issue:

SETUP:
– Sandy Bridge I7
– Win7 64
– Sapphire AMD Radeon 6870
– Vegas 12 Build 486 64-bit
– Kingston HyperX Blue 1666 DDR3

Have been unable to solve the issue, but I will keep on bloody trying.

Would like others to chime in so (with your Setup info), so perhaps we can find a common thread.
