Hi there. This had been bugging me for over a year since I bought my MB pro17 but no one seemed to know what the answer could be; In fact it is very simple. all you need to do is go into system settings international and tick box french and french numerical. Low and behold it works with the maj lock button working as a num lock; 1234567890 simple as that. So even if i am like over a year and a half too late, i can now do numbers without streching my fingers.
