Yes I want to remove the audio from an H264 clip after it has been converted to ProRes via 5DtoRGB (has no option for removing sound), then worked on in AE.
One way to do this – I thought – was in Quicktime by exporting and thereby compressing the clip through Options then Settings and unchecking the sound box etc. But this in effect means compressing the clip yet again.
Is there a “non-compressive” method of removing audio preferably after the clip being worked on in AE or if needs be before converting or does compressing it again not affect the quality of the clip anyway?
You’re Com-J in QT reply tells me that is a better way (compression-free) and I bet there is one in AE as well.
