Thanks for an intresting thread, and I hope its not dead quite yet. Can you explain you process how to remove the chroma eco. I’m not quiet following. Can you even post a picture of the nodes. I like the idea of fixing this before the key.

Ok, im going to give a few days to se if anybody have some other ideas, then i going to wipe it…but then its maby better to skip back to osx. Thanks for you suggestion, i will do it if no one give me any better idea.

Did everybody here do a clean install of leopard and not upgrade like I did? That leopard comercial that show you just have to push upgrade then done is full of shiat!!

Finally the leopard drivers is out I thuoght….

When i try to start fcp, I get a message that say “minimum system checks”, and complain on my system. But i have a macpro 8core, 4g ram wich work nice until i installed leopard…then i had to uninstall aja lhe to run fcp.

But when i install the aja v.5.0 drivers it start to complain..I have reinstalled fcp and aja lhe..but same issue. Any ideas?

Thanks Gary! I suspected that final cut “cheated”. Do you have any cheap solution for the problem. I been looking at caldigit s2vr Hd wich fits my pockets.

Some updates. I throwed away the final cut prefsfile and a cache file and reinstalled the aja card. Now when i choose easy setup: Aja kona lh 720p 59.94 dvcpro hd i get a moving frames while playing my “720p 25pn recorded footage” but its very jerky!!! Would been nice with some other choiches in easy setup like maby 720p50 but it aint.

In aja control panal im have the primary and secondary format set to 720p59.94 cause thats the best easy setup i found and i want to keep it the same format allt the way.

What are you using for settings? still noby hear using the aja kona series?

I also tried with easy setups, for example Aja kona lh 720p 59,94 dvc pro hd
but no luck..

Then again in shake there no settings to change more than active the output. Cant aja output what i see on computer? Instead shake runs over all slower as soon i activate the external out put.

Then agin, to get a picture in shake i have to select the macintosh desktop in the aja kona control panel. And as soon i choose “macintosh desktop” (under the kontrol tab) im stuck with only one optional choice under the format tab for primary framebuffer and that is 720p60!!! so i have no clue what to test.

I change in aja control panel on the controll tab to test pattern on the default kona output so that i can change formats.

Then i change the format to 720p50 cause i suppose its the compressor that should be used for my 720n 25p footage in the timeline.

The i went to Finalcut.
Im running final cut 5.1.4

Sequence preset 720p25

Device control preset: Dvc pro hd firewire

Video playback: Aja kona 720p50 8bit 1280×720

playback output aja kona 720p50 8bit 1280×720 (yea the same as video playback)

with this settings I can scroll with the picture but it want give me any picture as soon i hit play…also i checked under the wiev tab/external video/ all frames was selected.

please more feedback, what setting are you using?

I reinstalled my hole system and tried to install the drivers that came with the camera for the pcmcia slot and i had the camera connected in switched to pc-mode in usb mode. STill don’t work. But i tested my p2 in some laptops yesterday and found out that it doesn’t work in HP laptops but in like a ibm laptop it worked fine. I called hp support and they say hp doesn’t support 8gig cards, so it must be the problem. I hope i can have my money back from the computer i had for only for days and get one that support 8 gig cards in the pcmcia slot. Maby this will be a big problem as the p2 gets bigger each year!
