Your project will be fine. Roxio software often “steals” away from Encore. If you can live without it, try uninstalling it before reinstalling Encore.

Either way, uninstall Encore, restart your system, then reinstall Encore and restart your system again. Then launch Encore and see if the burner is found.

If it worked once, then something you recently installed on your system must have caused the problem in Encore.

Try reinstalling Encore to see if it recognizes the burner again. If not, give Adobe Tech Support a call and they can tweak your registry so that Encore will recognize the burner again.

    Blacky,

If buttons weren’t selectable, they wouldn’t really be buttons, would they? Not sure I understand why you would want a menu with buttons that can’t be selected by the user…can you explain what it is that you want to do?

    Thanks,
    Joe

It sits in black when the disc is inserted?

Did you set the menu to First Play?

It’s an annoying bug. If you set the end action to “Stop”, you can safely ignore it.

  • In Encore, chapters are “in-only”, and once you play from a chapter, it will play until the end of the timeline.

If you want only a section of video to play at a time, you should create separate timelines for each section (and split your clips up and export out of your NLE, such as PPro).

The override control is used to replace the end action of a targeted link, and will not work for what you are trying to do (chapters don’t have end actions). In fact, misuse of the override feature will cause navigation problems on your DVD. Unless you understand exactly how they work (they are explained in the user guide), you should remove all overrides from your project.

If you stripped the streams out, you should have gotten M2V for video and AC3 for audio.

Import those streams into Encore, then add your chapter points there. There will be no quality loss.

Encore doesn’t support VOB files; instead, strip out the streams then import those.

I’ve not seen the problem you are seeing, but try creating a playlist with 6 timelines and an end action that links to another playlist that has 6 timelines, etc.

Encore 1.0.1 and later will do that for you automatically…nothing to set.
