I did upgrade but that was after I noticed the problem.
My Project settings have not changed for years.
I did switch to Boris 9 from 6 not too long ago, but I didn’t notice this problem right away.

I know it’s a setting somewhere, either in M100 or Boris, I just don’t know where else to look.

So does it matter if I move my footage 2 pixels instead?
What am I suppose to do if I need to reposition someone?
This is also new since we’ve been loading our HDV footage in through Component NTSC.
Is there a work around?

I’m trying to follow what you said, I kind of get it.

We move the footage around in the comps. I think that’s what’s making them blurry although I don’t know why??

Nope, it appears it’s not going to work. Thank you Media 100 for another waste of money.
I should have upgraded all of my comps to G5s and moved to FCP.

Soon as I can afford at least a couple of more G5s

What’s te deal with Producer? Can I use that with and without boards? What happens if I try and edit with Vincenet Boards and Producer?

Also I just upgraded to Boris 9. Did a title and no errors!
Boris 6 was really buggy, I should have upgraded a while back.

I’m using NTSC 720 X 486 loading it in component.
We are getting blurry renders in AE.

I’m going to look, but I don’t think I have lossless capabilities?

I would love to upgrade. But unfortunately my mortgage just doubled!
I wonder if there’s a cheap Boris upgrades?

True Dat!

It took me forever to figure out that in the Down Convert menu you have 3 settings for component out.
Media 100 will only accept 480i.

I noticed that if you down convert throught the (i-link) firewire cable you lose a lot of picture quality.
I reccomend using the component adapter cables that come with the camera. It looks pretty darn good.
Not original HDV quality but close.

We’re on Media100i 8.2.3 with the DV option. We’re located in Tarzana, CA. Close to LA.
What format are you on?
