Is it possible to somehow automatically generate a non-destructive project file for each clip within a sequence? I have more than 80 clips for which I want to edit the audio independently and perform normalization. I understand now that only after I create a new audio project for a clip and then reopen that clip, will I have for easy selection, just my clip’s audio.

Is there any way to automate this process of creating audio projects for clips? I really wish that this could happen during export from FinalCut. then I wouldn’t have to worry about creating and naming a project for each audio clip.

I just want to (In Larry Jordan’s words) select something and do something to it.

Is my problem the result of capturing an entire tape at once and having a single master file for all of my affiliate clips? If so, what could I do differently within Finalcut, to make this editing of audio clips go quicker?

    Thanks
    Jim

    You’re right there are markers..

I wish I could understand, why by default, it does not just open up to the region specified by the clip. Would make things faster…

    Thanks,
    Jim
